First of all, I'd like to thank all of you who at some point had interest in playing Dragonward, thank you!

Even though not receiving significant updates in a long time, the game has been maintained and still works up to date. But with the announcement of a new RPG Maker, the engine behind Dragonward, it's unclear to me how long the old engine will be supported (last updated in 2018) and, therefore, I decided to stop working with RPG Maker MV.

The game was also released on Steam in 2018 but still didn't stand out well enough, having no significant sales in a long time. With that in mind, considering the previously stated engine deprecation, and some more problems that arrived with the pandemic, I decided it's time to retire Dragonward and focus on a brighter future.

According to an agreement with Steam, the game will be retired from their store by June 12th and become unavailable for purchasing there.

The customers who already bought the game will still be able to download and play it either on itch.io or Steam. It doesn't have web features and don't rely on servers or other external functions. The engine is based on NW.js, a web technology, so the customers who already own a license will be able to keep playing the game for the foreseeable future.

Steam keys aren't being offered on itch.io anymore, the remaining Steam keys were requested by them during the retirement process and aren't available from now on. Therefore, the sales were suspendend on tich.io for the time being, in order to prevent problems related to Steam activation.
